At the beginning of the workshop, Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh welcomed the attendees, stressing the need to develop and improve the education system in Jordan to keep up with the Fourth Industrial Revolution stating that the current education system is still dependent on and adopting traditional methods.

Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh briefed the participants on the Finnish Model of Education, where the role of a teacher is a facilitator rather than a lecturer, noting that the future will witness an educational revolution. Accordingly, he called for establishing a work team to study the Finnish and Swedish education models, urging for change in the education law to adapt with the developments worldwide.

During the workshop, Mr. Fadi Daoud, Executive Director of Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Knowledge Forum, gave a presentation on the important international indicators in terms of creativity and innovation, revealing that Jordan is ranked amongst the last places on the Global Talent Competitiveness and Innovation Indexes. He affirmed the urgent need to improve education, starting with primary grades to institutionalize concepts of innovative and creative education among students.

For her part, Dr. Muntaha bani Hani, Dean of TAGUCI, briefed the attendees on the TAGUCI vision and mission and what makes it distinctive and different from other educational institutions.

It is noteworthy to mention that the workshop, moderated by Dr. Lana Mubaideen, founder and chair of Rethinkers, is considered one of the most important tools that the company applies to promote creative thinking using the Integrated and Independent methods skillfully.
