University of Jordan Signs Agreement with Beyout Investment Group

AMMAN - The University of Jordan (UJ) signed a training agreement with Beyout Investment Group, Kuwait, to hold specialized training courses, within the e-training project "ProfMent", and in cooperation with (Alcatel one touch) global company, according to University press release.

The agreement was signed by UJ president, Prof. Ekhleif Tarawneh and CEO of Beyout Investment Group, Ibrahim Khazam, in the presence of UJ Vice President for Training and Community Service, Prof. Musa Al Lozi, Director of the Center of Consultation, Mohammed Maaqbeh, Managing Director of “Alcatel one touch” in the Levant, Ameen Onsal, Moszeko Group - official agent for (Alcatel one touch) in Jordan- CEO, Faris Awartani, and Mr. Ibrahim Issa Abadi, Director of the project.

The agreement aims to hold specialized training courses offered by the (eLEARMENT) Company, one of the group companies, to develop professional skills in the electronic environment in four levels; preparatory, Intermediate and Advanced, and finally the training diploma, which includes the skills to qualify for senior professional and specialized jobs.

"The agreement comes within the strategy of the University to achieve universality and harmony between the academic and technological sectors, as well as supplying the labor market with competencies qualified and trained at the highest international levels," Tarawneh said.

Tarawneh referred that the University seeks to become one of the top world universities, by providing a supportive research-led university environment, through the reconstruction of teaching strategies with respect to mental skills development, to finally become a cognitive society within an educational environment that is compatible with the rapid advances in technology. 

From his part, Khazam said UJ was chosen because it’s a well recognized institution, regionally and internationally, referring that the company seeks through the agreement to develop skills of students and community members by providing e-training programs developed by the company.

Onsal said “Alcatel one touch” will equip laboratories with computer tablets, pointing out that the company is currently manufacturing specialized devices for this end, and aspires to play an active role in the e-learning field in the kingdom. Moreover, the company’s its agent in Jordan is Mozeko.
