AMSI Celebrates the Graduating Class of 2016

DUBAI - Academia Management Solutions International (AMSI), a leading academic solutions, honoured students of the graduating Class of 2016 at a prestigious ceremony organised at the Dubai World Trade Centre. 

The event was held under the patronage of HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and UAE Minister of Finance, and presided over by HH Sheikh Rashid bin Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum – who handed the graduation certificates to the passing out batch of 2016. The event was also attended by esteemed AMSI Board of Directors - Khalifa Juma Al Nabooda, Hamad Bin Souqat, Sharafuddin Al-Sayed M.H Sharaf, and Nabil Nasr. 

During the celebratory occasion, 380 students - from Al Mawakeb Schools in Al Garhoud & Al Barsha and the International School of Arts and Sciences (ISAS) – were poised for the moment of graduation. This was the 36th graduation ceremony for Al Mawakeb Schools and the 7th for ISAS. 

The CEO of AMSI, Adonis Nasr, addressed the audience, in addition to providing a closer look of the upcoming Al Mawakeb School in Khawaneej area planned for launch next year:  “On behalf of all the graduates and parents, I express the deepest gratitude to all the teachers and non-teaching staff. Theirs is the silent vocation that steers the journey of our students in this world.” Speaking to the dignitaries, he reiterated AMSI’s commitment to Dubai’s vision and their support in shaping the country as a champion in knowledge economy. “We assure you that with the support of our valued partners, our schools will always align with the vision of Dubai; and the 
significant increments in our offerings – including the upcoming campus – will aim to provide value to the student community and society at large.”

During the annual ceremony, Omar Sharaf and Juma Al Nabooda – representing the Board of Directors - presented the ‘Outstanding Graduate’ awards to three senior students for academic excellence whilst demonstrating the highest standards of character on campus. The recipients of this honour were Randa Ghadban (Al Mawakeb School – Al Garhoud), Majed Bin Thaneya (Al Mawakeb School – Al Barsha), and Lubna Abdulmajeed (ISAS).

They also presented the ‘AMSI Leadership Award’ to five students for their outstanding performance, leadership skills, and dedication to their schools. The recipients of this award were Karim Makhaly Ayad & Reem Hassan (Al Mawakeb School – Al Garhoud), Seyed Ali Safizadeh & Latifa Alsalman (Al Mawakeb School – Al Barsha), and Rami Al Khouri (ISAS). 

The audience were treated to two moving speeches, one titled “Those who called the schools home for 14 years,” given by Omar al Awadi, and the AMSI Alumnus Speech by Mr. Mohammed Sharaf, AMSI Alumnus Class of 1981 and ex-CEO of DP World who revisited his school days and inspired the students to chase their dreams in the highly competitive world.
