Abu-Ghazaleh Patronizes the Opening Ceremony of Kufr Soum’s 16th Cultural Forum

IRBID - HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, Chairman of Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Organization (TAG-Org), patronizes the opening ceremony of Kufr Soum’s 16th Cultural Forum, entitled, “Labeik Ya Aqsa” [Oh Beloved Jerusalem], with the presence of a number of distinguished guests including the President of the Forum the Lawyer Mr. Ali Dujan Obeidat, former ministers and senators. The ceremony was held in Kufr Soum’s Sports Club, just outside the city of Irbid.
HE Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh expressed his thanks to the management of the Forum for arranging of the event and in recognition of the Palestinian people, who remain defending their homeland in the occupied territories; expressing his pride that Kufr Soum has always been one of the first to support Palestinians.
Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh indicated that the Arab civilization has always been built on principles, ethics and values, and that Arabs have a strong base in becoming global leaders and investors in today’s knowledge-based society and the world of technology – among other aspects of life. He added that acquiring and creating knowledge is the only road for the development and modernization of nations.
Mr. Obeidat welcomed Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh and thanked him for sponsoring the Forum, adding that this Cultural Forum covers a vast array of important aspects pertaining to the Arab world, starting from the time of Caliph Umar up to the Hashemite leadership. He added that the Forum’s duration will be four days, in which there will be a variety of events and discussion of different topics including: Arab history of Jerusalem, Investment Fund Law for 2016, Election Law, counter-terrorism, national responsibility, and American-Russian Relations pertaining to Arab countries.
The Master of Ceremonies Mr. Zuhair Obeidat expressed his thanks to Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh for sponsoring the Forum, and in being a well-known figure on both an Arab and global level in helping spread cultural and economic awareness− reflected through his impressive career and initiatives. He pointed out that Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh portrays an important message of hope for all the ambitious who strive to work hard to make the best out of their lives for the future.
Dr. Elayyan Al Jaloudi, Professor at Al Beit University, highlighted through his lecture entitled, ‘The Arab Identity Throughout History from the Time of Caliph Umar up to the Hashemite Leadership” – of the close relationship between Al Aqsa Mosque and Grand Mosque.
Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh also inaugurated the Artistic showcasing for paintings of Ahmed Al Khatib, where his paintings portrayed an artistic reflection of Al Aqsa, the history of Palestine and the area of Kufr Soum. There was also a poem recitation for the late poet Ibn Al Farouq by his son, where Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh expressed his pride with the poetry, noting that he will publish a booklet for the late poet’s compiled poems that were recently revealed from a locked drawer.
