“Abu-Ghazaleh” and “Isra University” Sign an Agreement to Serve Students

AMMAN – Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Knowledge Society (TAG-KS), a member of Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Foundation, and Isra University signed a Cooperation Agreement to establish a TAG-KS Knowledge Station at Isra University’s Consultation Center to provide its professional services in promoting education in the field of Information Technology and Communications. 

HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, chairman of Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Organization (TAG-Org) and HE Professor Bassam Malkawi, President of Isra University, signed the Cooperation Agreement with the presence of HE Eng. Maher Ghalaiyini, Chairman of the Board, and Dr. Ghaida Abu-Rumman, President Assistant for International Affairs and Director of Consultation, Continuing Education and Community Service Center, and the University’s administration, faculty members and students. 

The establishment of this Knowledge Station at Isra University’s Consultation center will enable TAG-Org to provide its technical and professional services for training and capacity building, and for conducting examination for Cambridge Certificate for IT skills and for other accredited Accounting Certificates, and as a venue for students to use for educational purposes.  

HE Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh gave a motivational speech for Isra University students at the University’s theater where he gave ‘glimpses’ of his life and how he was able to transform his suffering to a blessing, and how the students should remain positive and seek to change the world through education, continuous learning and self-development. He also pointed out that each student should fulfil their dreams based on challenging themselves indicating, “Challenging oneself is the best type of challenge in the world”.

HE Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh also stressed on the importance of respecting and understanding the law for each country, and how one can achieve more through transparency, integrity and the message of love. He pointed out that each individual must have a vision and form of motivation in order to serve society and the local community.   

Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh also spoke of his chairmanships and memberships of many taskforces for the United Nations where he was able to express his opinions as a ‘Palestinian, Jordanian, Arab, Muslim’ influential figure – and as Chairman of the largest global organization for providing Intellectual Property Rights professional services. 

Professor Dr. Mahmoud Nour, Dean of the Faculty of Business and Finance welcomed Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh and gave a brief glimpse of his achievements as a successful global business figure and specifically as the leading figure in the Accounting field in the Arab world, let alone the professional and consultation services that extend through TAG-Org’s 85 offices worldwide.

Dr. Ghaida Abu-Rumman managed the student discussion with Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh, and conveyed her thanks to Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh on behalf of Isra University for the establishment of TAG-KS, where it will provide the latest technology and state-of-the-art facilities for promoting student educational activities. Dr. Abu-Rumman also spoke of how inspiring the book she read entitled, “Blankets Become Jackets” was in portraying Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh’s life and as a role model for success− him being self-made.

Established in 1991, Isra University is part of the Jordanian system of Higher Education and includes both BA and MA programs that are accredited by both national and international institutions. The University has eight faculties including Faculty of Arts, Administrative Sciences and Finance, Faculty of Law, Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Pharmacy, Faculty of Information Technology, Faculty of Educational Sciences and Faculty of Nursing.
