DUBAI - Celebrating the occasion of ‘Emirati Women’s Day’, students and faculty members of Academia Management Solutions International (AMSI) hailed the contributions of Emirati women towards the progress of United Arab Emirates. AMSI - which manages Al Mawakeb Schools and International School of Arts & Sciences (ISAS) – has been at the forefront of harnessing the potential of female students in building a robust society.

Ms. Alissar Nasr-Soubra, Chief Academic Officer of AMSI, recognized successful Emirati alumni women who are leaving their impressions and inspiring others: “I am proud that our Emirati alumni women have been key players in the country’s success stories. Today we are marking this day by ensuring all our girls, and especially those of Emirati heritage, listen to their inner voice and recognize that the strength within them is greater than they realize.”

Amongst AMSI’s distinguished alumni who marked the occasion was Ms. Hind Seddiqi, AMSI alumnus Class of 2001 and Chief Marketing Officer of Seddiqi Holding. “The UAE in general and Dubai in particular are perfect examples of how perseverance and commitment transforms what seems like impossible thoughts into formidable realities. It is this spirit that guides Emirati women to remain focused and committed to pursue their dreams, while staying true to their values and their identity,” said Ms. Seddiqi. She further added: “We are thankful to our leaders who believed in us and ensured that we are part of the unstoppable drive that keeps us all moving forward.”

AMSI has taken numerous steps in molding the personality of female students, and paving a path of self-confidence, leadership, and self-sustaining entrepreneurship. For instance, the inaugural event of AMSI Voices, a networking platform for student empowerment, was launched under the theme ‘Girls are makers of change’ - where discussions addressed women participation in the corporate world and the larger society.

The schools also organized a scout leadership camp early this year where girls camped in Ras Al Khaimah. For over two days, students were immersed in learning environmental education, mountain trekking, and team leadership and bonding. With the purpose of inspiring women leadership, Ms. Nasr-Soubra also graced a school investiture ceremony as the Chief Guest, where girls assumed important positions in the Student Council body.
AMSI schools continue to inspire students towards boundless achievements, care for the community, and dedication towards making positive contributions for the society.
