Abu-Ghazaleh: Man must accept the fact that women are equal and even superior

DUBAI-The Arab Women’s Council hosted the third "Arab Festival-The Golden Shield of Excellence 2016" at Al Bustan Rotana Hotel in Dubai, the UAE in celebration of distinguished personalities in the field of Social Responsibility at the Arab region level.    

Head of the Council Ms. Lina Moukarzel said in her word that this third celebration came to prove that innovation has no limits and in our Arab world there are people who deserve to be honored and we are proud of what they accomplished. She added that this honor is significant because it comes from an establishment that conducts research and studies to pinpoint the best innovative and leading achievement by Arab personalities.    

HE Sheikha Hind Bint Abdulaziz Al Qassimi, highlighted in the name of the Council's Board of Trustees the effort to host this Arab celebration.  

Meanwhile, HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, chairman of Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Organization (TAG-Org) who was recently selected to the Jordanian Senate said that "Women are the center of life and deserve recognition and appreciation "One half of human race is women and the other half is brought to this world  by women."
He added: "I don't just support woman but I love, respect and believe in her, she is my mother, sister, daughter and partner and colleague at work who supported me more than I did."

Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh stated that 55 percent of the working force at TAG-Org are females, 65 percent of students at Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Graduate School of Business (TAGSB) are females, and the best student awarded at the School on an annual basis is a female noting that the TAG-Org's Vice Chair in the iron woman Ms. Samar AlLabbad in addition to tens of successful high-ranking women at TAG-Org." 

He sees that woman has the stamina to bear pain and suffering more than man does and it is enough that she puts up with him "she is more honest in her feelings and more dedicated and loyal and more faithful in love and I know." 

He noted that what is required is not the empowerment of women by men, but that it is required to empower men to accept the fact that women are equal if not superior. 

Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh directed his words to the women attending at the event "Make the truth a reality with your decisions, actions without man's permission."

He concluded by saying "Every morning I thank God for having women in my life. You are here and everywhere you are most beautiful and better half."

Minister for the Displaced HE Ms. Alice Shabtini said:" It gives me a great pleasure to talk on behalf of the honored personalities at this Arab festival under the title “The Golden Shield of Excellence 2016” honoring the most distinguished personalities in the field of corporate social responsibility appreciating the effort of the Council and the Arab Organization for Corporate Responsibility in hosting such an event and organizing a regional forum to discuss issues and recommendations of women's concern."    

The Arab Women’s Council for Corporate Responsibility presented a medallion to Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh for his role in supporting women's activities in corporate social responsibility.  

The two-day Arab Women’s Council discussed the mechanisms needed to empower women in overcoming challenges facing them in today’s professional environment. Leading women from different government and private sectors as well as scientists and experts spoke about the practical mechanisms that enable women to take on leadership roles.
