Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Knowledge Forum Announces Its 2017 Activities and Programs

AMMAN – Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Knowledge Forum announced the activities and programs which will be held during the year 2017. 

The activities and programs were selected and organized based on the objectives of the forum related to essential need to enhance fields of cognitive education and knowledge-based economy.

The activities include hosting of several key events including: Mr. Bruno Lanvin, President of the Competitiveness Council at the French INSEAD Business School who will tackle the competitive standards; Dr. Abdul Hamid Mamdouh, Director of Trade in Services division at the World Trade Organization (WTO), and HE Mr. Samir Murad, former minister of labor who will discuss the negative effect caused by holidays and many observances on the Jordanian economy.

In addition,  HE Mr. Thabet Al Werr, head of Jordan Investment Commission to talk about investment obstacles, Dr. Salma Al Nims, General Secretary of the Jordanian National Commission for Women, to talk about a political union for women, Dr. Abdul Razzaq Arabiyat, General Manager of Jordan Tourism Board to talk about tourism in Jordan, and an interesting session on traffic problems in Jordan. 

The Forum has already conducted a number of activities mainly; hosting HE Mohammad Al Allaf, head of the Integrity and Anti-Corruption Commission who discussed the national strategy for Integrity and Anti-Corruption 2017-2025, and HE Ms. Nadia Al Rawabdeh, Director General of the Social Security Corporation who underlined the recent reforms and amendments to the Social Security Law, in addition to organizing the Jordanian and Palestinian Women conference with the participation of Minister of Palestinian Women's Affairs, and the Palestinian Minister of Tourism.

The Forum aims to achieve the goal of transforming Jordan to a knowledge-based society achieving gross national product of 200 billion dollars in 2040, where local, regional and international studies confirm that practical solutions to face all national challenges would be only achieved are through this transformation.
Meanwhile, the Forum’s 34 committees have recently started their meetings to submit proposals that aim at enhancing the current situation by using cognitive methods. 

Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Knowledge Forum is a non-for-profit experience organization, funded by Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Foundation, and represents a model of community service where Jordanian citizens volunteer their time and efforts to serve this beloved country under the Hashemite leadership which we are loyal to and proud of.
