IRBID - HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh patronized the graduation ceremony of the students of the first semester “8th batch” from the University of Jadara.

The ceremony was held at the University’s headquarters in the presence of Chairman of the Board of Directors, Dr. Shukri Al-Marashdeh, President of the University, Professor Dr. Saleh Al-Aqili, members of the Board of Trustees and the members of the Board of Directors, as well as members of the faculty and administrative staff.

Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh expressed his pride in graduating the group of students wishing them all the success. He also thanked the university administration for inviting him to patronize this ceremony, and the teaching and administrative bodies for their generous and constructive efforts in supporting the march of science and learning.

In his speech, Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh told the students “In university, you learn the lessons, then you get tested and then you succeed. Whereas in life, you are tested, you learn the lessons and then you succeed… I say succeed because failure is not the end, on the contrary, it is an opportunity to work again in a better way, and the learner is the one who understands that he needs to learn”.

He added "I learn every day. The more I know, the more I realize how much I do not know. Success has tools that begin with a message that the individual sets for himself. He seeks to achieve it through study, hard work, love in his heart and the intention to turn every suffering that stands in his way to an opportunity".

Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh continued to mention two significant events that have taken place last week that were ignored by the media,  the first being the death of the second greatest scientist after Einstein, Stephen Hawking. “I ask all my students to take time and study this person. He had lived 50 out of his 76 years alive handicapped. Yet, in those 50 years, Hawking managed to invent what no other scientist in the world could. His paralysis did not prevent him from becoming a knowledge creator and inventor. Therefore, I want all my students to understand that nothing can stand in their way to success and achieving greatness”.

He added "The second important event was that Finland has become the happiest country in the world, according to a UN report. This is because Finland is a knowledge society. It is the leading country in transforming education and creating knowledge. And this is why it is crucial that we turn our country into a knowledge society, which can only materialize through our decision to invent knowledge, which will bring us wealth, and put us in the course of the world of knowledge and keep up with the state of artificial intelligence".

For his part, Dr.  Al-Aqili welcomed on his behalf and on behalf of the family of Jadara University, the graduates and their families, HE Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh and thanked him for patronizing the graduation ceremony.

He said, "The University of Jadara is a torch of knowledge, mission and fortress of thought, freedom and dignity. It is a home for creativity, and the University has devoted its utmost attention to building a human being protected by the values of science and knowledge. It encourages scientific research and works continuously to update the curricula and provide the appropriate infrastructure for the acquisition of science and knowledge”.

Addressing the graduates, he said, "Jadara University was your gateway to the future. It has provided you with the knowledge and science, and on this day, it is presenting you to our dear country to contribute your knowledge and experience in building a better future. Our country needs your creative energies and strong fortunes, for contributing to the nation requires a will armed with science, knowledge, sincerity and seriousness".

He also addressed the graduates' families and said, "Congratulations to you, this is the fruit of your efforts, God bless you and your children and I wish you and them all the success".

President of the University thanked the President and members of the Board of Trustees, the President and members of the Board of Directors and the members of the teaching and administrative bodies for their efforts to provide the appropriate academic environment and to provide students with the latest scientific findings in various fields. He also thanked the Chairman and members of the graduation committee for their efforts to make this event a success.

On behalf of all the graduates, student Raed Al-Masa’adah gave a speech in which he thanked the members of both the teaching and administrative bodies for their contribution in outstanding knowledge and support to the students of the university.

Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh, the patron of the ceremony, was honored by the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Jadara University, Dr. Shukri Al-Marashdeh. Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh presented the awards to the students and the certificates they deserve, as well as to the creative teaching staff.
