QOU Participates in the Third Conference of Research and Innovation, Wins First Place for "Your Land in Your Hands" Project

NABLUS - The project, that was presented by Osama Issa Abu Hamda, an IT student in the Faculty of Technology and Applied Science won the first place at the conference that was organized by the Technical University of Palestine, Khadouri, entitled “The 3rd. Conference on Research and Innovation in Engineering and Information Technology - Student Graduation Projects”, according to Al-Quds Open University (QOU).
During the conference, Abu Hamdeh presented his project entitled "Your land is in your hands", which is a website that provides users with access to all information related to their land, changes and transactions that occur (sell, transfer, inherit, etc). The purpose of this project is to alleviate the obstacles that face Palestinians living abroad in respect to ownership of the land.
Students Raghad Khawaja and Doha Al-Saadi won the third place in their project "the hearing eyes ", which helps deaf people to pay attention to the alerts around them. It is a system that receives the sounds of bells (telephone bell, fire alarm, kitchen oven, or house-bell), identifies the sound and sends it to a user's wristwatch; an image is printed indicating the sound output with vibration.
