Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Organization and Modern Language Center Implement Arabic Fluency Tests Programs

AMMAN - HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh and Mr. Fares Awad, Executive Director of the Modern Language Center, signed a cooperation Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to conduct the Arabic Fluency Test (AFT) and training courses for Arabic and non-Arabic speakers.

The signing ceremony was held at the Center’s Headquarters in the presence of Mr. Yousef Awad, founder of the Center, and representatives of the two parties, in addition to Arab and foreign students at the Center.

During the gathering, Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh affirmed the importance of the Arabic Fluency Test and the need to expand and promote the teaching of the Arabic language, noting that Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Organization took the initiative by developing the Arabic Fluency Certificate with the aim of spreading Arabic culture and language and enhancing its value globally, as well as standardizing the methods of Arabic language assessment for both speakers and non-speakers based on specified criteria.

Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh pointed out the importance of developing internationally accredited exams similar to those available for other languages, referring to the significance of partnership with the Modern Language Center which is considered to be one of the most prestigious and old centers in Jordan, noting that this is the first agreement of its kind signed by TAG-Org relating to AFT.

For his part, Mr. Fares Awad welcomed Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh and the attendees, stressing the significance of the partnership with Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Organization, the global organization for professional services, also underlining the importance of the Arabic language, the need to increase the number of Arabic speakers and the great value of the Arabic Fluency Test which will help to disseminate the language worldwide taking into account the growing demand for learning Arabic.

The MoU stipulates the use of the Language Center for the specialized  placement test that determines the level of those wishing to learn Arabic and the Arabic Fluency Test for those wishing to obtain the Arabic Fluency Certificate, organizing preparation and qualification courses for the Arabic Fluency Test and attracting foreign students to take classes in cooperation with Talal Abu-Ghazaleh University College for Innovation, as well as holding training courses and certifications from the University certified by the Ministry of Higher Education.
