President of the Republic of Macedonia Hosts Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh As a Guest of Honor

STRUGA, Macedonia - President of the Republic of Macedonia, HE Gjorge Ivanov hosted HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, founder and chairman of Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Organization (TAG-Org) as a guest of honor at the opening of the new session of International Young Leader Training to shed light on the future and development of the education sector.

HE  President Ivanov, welcomed Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh and thanked him for his participation as guest of honor. During the session.

HE Mr. Ivanov addressed many important issues including the future of education, his vision of the Fourth Industrial Revolution as well as other important topics related to Blockchain, Artificial Intelligence, Big Data, and Robots affirming their advancement in his country and urging students and young leaders to employ these technologies and use them as basic pillars in the educational development process.

For his part, Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh extended his gratitude to HE the President, emphasizing the importance of all the guidelines and instructions mentioned in his address and highlighting certain topics relating to the Fourth Industrial Revolution, his optimistic vision and initiatives that aim at providing a better future through education.

Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh started his speech by presenting his own vision regarding the future of the education sector and the most important pillars that need to be taken into consideration notably the fact that ‘we need to graduate innovators not job seekers.

He further noted that the current world education system needs radical development to adapt to a world of rapid change describing the education system as medication that could never be a cure for all diseases.

Furthermore, Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh stated that all aspects of daily life and industries have undergone rapid development over the years, affirming that the current ‘backward' education system is in need of urgent development.

He affirmed that this is the reason for his establishment of the Talal Abu-Ghazaleh University College for Innovation in which classrooms are business incubators and teachers are mentors, supporters and instructors. “The College aims at graduating inventors and holders of knowledge-based innovations.”

Moreover, Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh mentioned his newly published book entitled “The Brave Knowledge World” which introduces his lifelong vision and philosophy relating to the Knowledge Revolution and its impact on the future of humanity.

Meanwhile Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh pointed out that there are many concerns regarding the rise of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in our world.

“The labor market, various industries and even educational systems around the world are watching the development in the AI field closely and they are a bit terrified. Could machines using Artificial Intelligence make doctors obsolete? It is not a question of maybe, but when!”

It’s noteworthy to mention that Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh received from HE President Ivanov a Certificate of Appreciation in acknowledgement of his tremendous efforts in the world of knowledge while Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh presented the President with the Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Organization Honorary Shield in recognition of his national and international efforts and contributions.

At the end of the visit, President Ivanov held a state dinner in honor of Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh.

On the sideline of his visit, Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh was interviewed by various local media outlets, participated in a panel discussion on the Fourth Industrial Revolution, and signed the VIP Visitor Book at the President’s Office.
