Dr. Jawad Anani A ‘Distinguished Professor’ at Talal Abu-Ghazaleh University College for Innovation

AMMAN – Talal Abu-Ghazaleh University College for Innovation (TAGUCI) signed a contract with HE Dr. Jawad Anani for his appointment as a full-time ‘Distinguished Professor’ at the University College in the field of Economics and as supervisor of the Studies Center affiliate to TAGUCI starting mid-June 2019.

Dr. Anani is one of the most prominent economists and academics in Jordan and the Arab world with extensive experience in the public and private sectors. He was a lecturer at various Jordanian, Arab and American universities and served as vice-chair of the Aqaba University of Technology Board of Trustees, as well as the University of Jordan Dean’s Council, the Middle East University, Al-Ahliyya Amman University in addition to Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Graduate School of Business. 

Dr. Muntaha Bani Hani, Dean of TAGUCI, welcomed Dr. Anani to the University College faculty as a distinguished professor,  noting that his experience constitutes a quality addition to the elite group of professors at TAGUCI who work to introduce a unique educational system based on supporting innovation and creativity, in accordance with the vision of TAGUCI founder HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh and his absolute belief in youth capacities and their ability to support the local and global economies. 

Bani Hani stated that TAGUCI is a unique institution, based on the vision of Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh, due to fact that it’s the first educational institution in the world that aims at graduating inventors and innovators, noting that TAGUCI is considered to be the first educational institution of its kind in the world that requires graduates to create a digital ICT-based invention as a condition for graduation.

TAGUCI is distinguished from other universities by providing students with a Business Incubator in addition to offering practical training opportunities at Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Global (TAG.Global) and other contracting entities during their study. 

Dr. Anani’s appointment as a ‘Distinguished Professor’ at TAGUCI is considered to be an asset to the University College which enhances concepts of creativity and research, due to his solid reputation for his vast cultural and scientific knowledge and contribution to much distinguished economic research, in addition to the establishment of the first Creativity Incubator in Jordan.

Dr. Bani Hani affirmed that the success of TAGUCI is attributed to the distinguished capacities and expertise of its lecturers, which is one of the key factors that drive great research achievements.  

It is noteworthy to mention that Dr. Anani authored five books and published a number of scientific reports in various Arabic and English journals as well as delivering more than 500 scientific speeches at different conferences. He was appointed as minister ten times and served as a member of the Senate for four terms.
