ABU DHABI - Repton’s Fry Campus, Abu Dhabi, a member of the Repton Family of Schools has been recognized as “Very Good” in its first inspection by the Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge (ADEK).

The school offers a British curriculum education for children aged six to 18 and was founded in 2017. Repton Fry only became eligible for a full inspection during the 2018-19 academic year and is the first school to have been rated Very Good with Outstanding features by ADEK during their first inspection (February 2018), after only 18 months of operation. The ranking positions the school as a major academic institution within the Abu Dhabi Education landscape.

The ADEK report praised the school’s high attainment in Maths, English and Science, and made specific reference to its keen focus on digital literacy which it singled out as “excellent”.  Students’ “attitudes, behavior and innovation” skills were considered “outstanding”, while the senior leadership team were lauded as having “established an aspirational vision for students’ high achievement” and “communication and involvement with parents” was recognized as being “outstanding”.

Gillian Hammond, Principal of Repton Abu Dhabi comments: “We are delighted to achieve this “Very Good” rating at this early stage in the school’s history, and for our very first ADEK inspection.   This is testament to the hard work and commitment of both our teachers and students who continue to uphold standards of excellence across all areas of learning. We have been acknowledged as an Apple Distinguished School for a second time, one of only a few in the Middle East, and it is very encouraging that ADEK also recognises our students’ exceptional digital literacy skills.  Our fantastic parents continue to be fully supportive of the school and we are thrilled that our continued engagement and effective communication with our parents is acknowledged in this report.”

Repton Abu Dhabi’s Rose campus, catering for children in FS1, FS2 and Year One, was also recognized as “Very Good” in their respective ADEK report, March 2018, with “Outstanding” features including the “protection, care guidance and support of students” along with students’ “personal and social development and their innovation skills.”
