KADDB Holds First Cyber Security Training Course

AMMAN - The King Abdullah II Design and Development Bureau (KADDB) announced in a press release that it has conducted its first cyber security training course held on campus of its advanced Cyber Security Academy.

The main objective of the course was to help increase the skills base in digital evidence investigations, cybercrime, ethical hacking, systems testing, information security management and cyber security awareness.

The hands-on training course was facilitated by a team of knowledgeable Jordanian lecturers and experts in cyber security.

Major General (Rtd.) Mohammed Farghal, Director General of KADDB mentioned that participants were drawn from various local agencies and organizations aiming to serve the country’s national Cyber Security Strategy by filling the local gap in cyber security and digital forensics as well as building a skills base of people who can engage in cyber security in Jordan.

He pointed out that the academy is the first of its kind in Jordan, specialized in advanced training in the field of cyber security to meet the needs of the government, security and private organizations, nationally and regionally.
He added that the Academy contributes to building the capabilities and competencies necessary to protect the national and regional electronic infrastructure, raise awareness, develop a cyber security culture, in addition to prepare Jordanian university graduates to support their future careers.

KADDB Cyber Security Academy was established in partnership with Protection Group Int. (PGI) – a GCHQ certified training provider in the United Kingdom and is equipped with the latest advancements offering intensive practical training programs through the utilization of the best innovative practices in the field.
