Abu-Ghazaleh: AROQA Conducts Training and Capacity Building Programs in Quality Education

AQABA - The Arab Organization for Quality Assurance in Education (AROQA) held training courses on “Measuring the Impact of Training and Teaching Strategies: Creative and Critical Thinking, Problem Solving and Classroom Management” at the Rosary Sisters School in Aqaba. 

The training program tackled different topics that aim at measuring the impact of training courses and their results in empowering the trainees to prepare and use these strategies, and at the same time, to transfer their expertise to students in a methodological manner; and to eventually implement outputs of scientific methodology in further development.  

HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, chairman of AROQA, affirmed the Organization’s keenness on expanding its scope of expertise to disseminate training and capacity building in the field of quality education in Jordan and the Arab countries. 

Mr. Yaser Al Nadi, AROQA Executive Director, presented the training program. He explained that AROQA organizes such courses on the ‘Teaching Strategies’ to the Rosary Sisters School – Aqaba to qualify trainees and to employ such strategies in the educational process which is considered the cornerstone for the 21st Century students’ skills.

Additionally, Al Nadi asserted that AROQA seeks to put into action the visions of  Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, AROQA chairman, in ensuring quality of education by offering the most effective services in the field of consulting and training. Accordingly, AROQA tirelessly expands its training activities to enhance quality of training and education at the educational institutions in the Arab world, he added. 

For her part, Sister Damyana Bader, the Rosary Sisters School Manager, expressed her gratitude to AROQA and its Chairman, Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh, for the ongoing efforts exerted in improving quality of education at the School, pointing out that the School strives to get accredited by AROQA for its importance in raising the level of education, continuous improvement and institutional efficiency.

At the end of the program, participants underlined the importance of knowledge and skills gained from the course, which aimed at keeping them abreast of the latest scientific, practical and professional developments to educate the future generation in accordance with the highest standards and in line with the rapid advancements in the world of knowledge. 

It is worth mentioning that the Arab Organization for Quality Assurance in Education (AROQA) is an international non-profit independent association established in Belgium in 2007. Its main objective is to promote the quality of higher education with a particular focus on the Arab world. It works under the League of the Arab States’ umbrella. AROQA is chaired by HE Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh, while its Honorary President is the Secretary-General of the Arab League.
