FICCI ARISE Partners with Nexus of Good for Reforms in Education

NEW DELHI - Federation of Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) Alliance for Re-Imagining School Education (FICCI ARISE) launched its partnership with Nexus of Good with a conference on the theme 'Creating a Nexus of Good for Education', according to the Federation.

Speaking at the event at FICCI, Mr Anil Swarup, Former Secretary, Department of Education & Founder, Nexus of Good, said that Nexus of Good is a movement to locate, understand, appreciate, replicate and scale good work.

"The idea is to create an alternative narrative to the all-pervasive negativity so that people believe that good can happen because it is happening. I appreciate FICCI ARISE for joining in the movement and commend their exemplary leadership in supporting and strengthening the efforts taken in the education space to chart the way forward. I believe our association will go a long way in expanding the frontiers of education and driving transformation in the country," Mr Swarup said.

Mr. Naga Prasad Tummala, Chairman, FICCI ARISE & Chairman, People Combine Initiatives, said, "We are tired of listening to negative news. The need of the hour is motivating case studies and inspiring personalities. Nexus of Good, in a very short period, has emerged as an oasis of high spirit.

"I congratulate Mr Swarup for conceptualizing and putting all his energies to make it a formidable force. I am very happy for associating with it. FICCI ARISE and Nexus of Good coming together is a landmark development," said Mr Tummala.

The conference, which deliberated on the good practices existing in the education space, aims to improve the quality of education and reimagine new paradigms to create pathways for school education that focus on creating capabilities powered by inclusivity, inquiry and innovation.

Dignitaries who participated at the conference include Mr Prabhat Jain, Governing Body Member, FICCI ARISE, & Director, Pathways World Schools; Dr Vinod Rao, Secretary (Primary & Secondary Education), Government of Gujarat; Mr GP Upadhyaya, Additional Chief Secretary, Education Department, Government of Sikkim.

Others included Mr NP Gangwar, Principal Secretary, Agriculture and Cooperatives, Government of Rajasthan; Mr Nand Kumar, Principal Secretary and Chief Protocol Officer, General Administrative Department, Government of Maharashtra; Ms Sandhya Rani, Chief Postmaster General, Government of Telangana; and Mr Gaurav Goyal, Founder and CEO, Samagra along with senior members from independent NGOs and foundations.
