AU Approved to Apply for Int'l Accreditation with WSCUC in US

AJMAN - After an extremely selective process among a number of academic institutions worldwide, the WASC Senior College and University Commission (WSCUC) in the United States has given Ajman University (AU) approval to make a formal application to the Commission for Eligibility. After a gap of many years, only a limited number of international institutions have been given the green light to apply. Obtaining “Eligibility” status is the first step towards achieving Candidacy and Initial Accreditation by WSCUC, according to the official website of the University.

Chancellor Karim Seghir has formed a high-level task force to begin the process and has set a timeline to achieve this ambitious goal. “Earning QAA global accreditation in April was a landmark moment for AU,” said Dr. Seghir. “Now is the perfect time to leverage that success into another strategic victory for Ajman University.”
