‘Abu-Ghazaleh Knowledge Forum’ Participates in KHCF’s ‘Up to the Challenge’ Campaign

AMMAN – Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Knowledge Forum (TAG-KF), a member of Talal Abu-Ghazaleh Global (TAG.Global), has participated in the  ‘Up to the Challenge’ campaign launched by the King Hussein Cancer Foundation (KHCF) in conjunction with the World Cancer Day; an international day, marked on February 4 annually, to raise awareness on the cancer disease and to promote methods of prevention, detection, and treatment.

TAG-KF’s participation signifies the Forum’s national role in supporting the educational and awareness efforts of the Foundation through several activities throughout the campaign.
The ‘Up to the Challenge’ campaign, which lasted from February 4th till February 28th 2021, focused on five key pillars of cancer prevention including :healthy nutrition, banning smoking, exercising, securing cancer health insurance and conducting regular early detection tests.

TAG-KF has positively contributed to the campaign by disseminating information and guidelines on public health and awareness to local community and TAG.Global’s employees in all its offices around the world, encouraging them via social media platforms to follow healthier lifestyle choices concerning preventable risk factors of cancer.

Furthermore, TAG-KF held educational and awareness panel sessions including a lecture entitled ‘Solving the Puzzle of Your Body’ delivered by consultant on wellness programs and services, Ms. Mawaheb Homsi. The Forum also hosted Dr. Hazim Al-Rahahleh, director general of the Social Security Corporation (SSC), and Ms. Nisreen Qatamish, director-general of KHCF, in a digital panel session discussing ‘Cancer Insurance; a Holistic Concept of Social Protection in Line with Citizens’ Aspirations’

It is worth mentioning that the World Cancer Day is an international event that takes place every year on February 4, where the whole world gathers to raise awareness on cancer risks through prevention, early detection and treatment. Cancer is considered the leading cause of death globally.
