He noted that ‘The knowledge-based society is the society that works through digitization; the precise reasons that prompted us at TAG-Global to establish the Talal Abu-Ghazaleh University College for Innovation (TAGUCI) whose core mission is “graduating students by innovation, not by passing exams”.

Dr. Abu-Ghazaleh also referred to the Arab States Research and Education Network (ASREN), which works in partnership with the European Union to support scientific research programs through direct Internet connection that allows access to all scientific research centers in the world.

He also stressed the need to take advantage of the atmosphere of openness and the availability of information without any charges in the digital world to use it in developing knowledge from open sources.

For his part, Dr. Al-Saghir expressed his gratitude to and appreciation of  Dr. Talal Abu-Ghazaleh for his constant support to the education sector, noting that this knowledgeable meeting would be fruitful in strengthening efforts for disseminating quality culture and innovation in education.

Al-Saghir highlighted the efforts exerted by the Libyan Ministry of Education to shift to online teaching at all its educational institutions, pointing out that the Ministry has been one of the first agencies to move towards electronic transformation since 2006, stating that the Ministry is actively engaged in implementing and activating digital transformation at the educational institutions.

Meanwhile, Dr. Mrgin stressed that education at the primary and secondary educational institutions has no longer been the same as a result of the Coronavirus pandemic, emphasizing that the educational system has changed in terms of structure, content, type, and technology, as the education needs to be reset again.

“We need the mindset of possibility; which means we need to start now, from the same point, yet, in a more distinctive manner,” he added.
